You can make a tangible difference.

Avail accepts the following items as material donations:

  • Baby clothing (preemie–3T) 

  • Maternity clothing (new or gently used, including nursing bras)

  • Diapers

  • Wipes

  • Formula

  • Blankets

  • New/unused pacifiers and teething toys

  • Baby carriers

  • Boppy pillows

  • Toys and books (for babies and children through age 3) 

Avail does not accept the following items:

  • Cribs/bassinets (or Pack-n-Plays)

  • Car seats

  • Strollers

  • Sleep positioners

  • Walkers with wheels

  • Crib bumper pads

  • Any items that have been subject to recall

  • Stuffed animals

  • New or used breast pumps

  • Bulky items (e.g., high chairs, infant bathtubs, baby swings, rockers, bouncy chairs)

  • Electronics (e.g., baby monitors, bottle warmers, baby food maker)

We are so grateful for material donations that go directly to meeting the essential needs of clients and their families. 

We ask that all items be new or gently used and in good condition. Clothing items must be washed before donating. Please call or email to schedule a drop-off date and time (212-689-1705 or support@availnyc.org). We are happy to provide you with a donation receipt. If you don't live in the NYC area but still want to support our clients at our headquarters and across the country with material donations, please contact us.
