Avail is a registered U.S. Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit. Donations to Avail are tax deductible, and we will always provide you a year-end tax receipt. We are proud to have the Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency.

Avail was founded 27 years ago by six women compelled by their Christian faith to support those facing unexpected pregnancies—women and men often overlooked, forgotten, and abandoned in their time of need. Today, these same Christian values continue to guide Avail’s mission and services. Like many of the world’s leading nonprofits and medical centers, Avail is part of a longstanding tradition where faith inspires love and care for those in need.

For over 50 years, the conversation surrounding unexpected pregnancy has been dominated by the pro-life and pro-choice political movements. Since the day we opened our doors, Avail has chosen to remain strictly apolitical and focus our efforts, resources, and attention on those who need our care and services—the real women and men often overlooked or used as pawns in political debates. We are here to serve people, not political movements or parties.

Avail is not a medical provider and does not offer any medical services. Clients who are in need of healthcare are connected with free or low-cost medical care. We firmly believe that every woman should have access to the best quality healthcare available and that medical decisions should be made with the guidance of licensed healthcare professionals.

Absolutely! While we are based in NYC, we've expanded our reach to offer virtual appointments—allowing us to assist women and men across all 50 states and even beyond the U.S. We're committed to providing excellent, compassionate, and personalized support wherever our clients may be 24/7.

Avail provides information on all options for women navigating an unexpected pregnancy. If a client is interested in pursuing adoption, we refer them to both local and national adoption agencies and offer support throughout the entire process for as long as they need.
